I was very excited to customize a workshop for the team at the Whistler Sport Legacies. The non-profit organization owns, manages and operates three of the 2010 Olympic venues in Whistler which are:
- The whistler sliding centre
- The whistler olympic park
- The whistler athlete’s centre
The group was a fairly large group across all venues and were geared to hear my insights on social media, content strategies, customer service online, trends and many online strategies for social platforms. The workshop was a day event and the highlight of the day was group activities that allowed different employees come together and discuss what strategies to apply for the business model.
I must praise the organization for recognizing employee talent as I met photographers, writers and social enthusiasts that would help contribute towards the content strategy deployment. I personally have now incorporated a talent hunt strategy within an organization for any future workshops that I do for any businesses. You will be surprised at the talent that works for you and if you pay attention you could use such talent to help assist with your companies social and web presence.
