- Local Exposure
- Build an authority
- Strategic Alliances
- Inbound Marketing
12 months later its safe to say that I managed to accomplish all four goals. It took a lot of hard work, sleepless nights and a ton of effort and time. However simply put it was worth the ride. I was able to complete a total of 45 speaking engagement, workshops, panels and keynotes in a span of 12 months. The business blog published content and followed a 5 post per week schedule. While the calendar did not follow a daily circuit a total of 261 blog posts were published for the business blog for 2012. Alliances were built and I got to speak at the Vancouver Convention Centre twice. Social Media Week brought more prospects and customers for me that it allowed my brand to get exposed locally. I experimented with video, radio and social platforms. I achieved personal and professional accolades including nominations and awards of excellence in the course of 2012.
The biggest lesson I can share with my fellow entrepreneurs is simply, “Show up to the Party!”
Going into 2013 as a business represent your brand, become a regular and let get people get to know you for who you are. This has been my secret all year around and I had fun in the process. My local network is being built and I can only expect it to take off from here. What keeps me grounded is my daily goals and action items for the year.
As today marks the first day into 2013 one can only imagine whats ahead of us! The only way of finding out is to put yourself out there and take the plunge. Goodbye 2012, Looking good 2013!
